Assisted in the physical move of Like.com's primary datacenter and a capacity upgrade. Completed installation of new power-management, network devices, and 150 servers before deadline. Wrote a chat and social network information system over mobile-phone SMS to Theme Park Photo's specification. Took ongoing direction for use and feature integration from TPP and TPP's client. Specific goals were: to provide a performance-geared messaging system capable of processing 1,000,000 messages per day over 50,000 groups of individuals; to provide a flexible plugin-based processing system for later enhancement by the client; to ensure the resulting product components were easily swappable and changed without impact to other moving parts. Final product was backed on an asynchronous message queue using STOMP to pass serialized objects, with persistent user and client data in SQL, and multiple input and output channels such as IM, email, and web. Provided documentation for all moving parts as well as UML state diagrams.

Wrote a change management application from the ground up to Simply Hired's specification. Took direction from the Operations Manager on platform, backend, features, and look-and-feel: the deliverable product was mod_perl under Apache with MySQL 5.0 utilizing an AJAX interface, suitable for Linux or Solaris. Deliverable was in put into internal use January 2007.

Performed physical inventory of new and existing production nodes for Riya's image search product, and entered them into an instance of Password Management. Synchronized user accounts across all nodes, and ensured roles-based access management worked as expected. Instructed current system administration team on Password Management's use and functionality via in-person training and documentation. Wrote and deployed Riya-specific plugins for Password Management, meshing it into their tool and monitoring infrastructure.
